This exercise serves as a tribute to one of the most talented guitarists to ever walk the earth - Jason Becker. We go over a famous lick from his song Altitudes to continue our studies into creative use of arpeggios and intervals.
This exercise, like last month's, demonstrates how to switch amongst similar scale shapes. Whereas last month, we switched between similar Diatonic shapes, this time we consider similar Diatonic and Harmonic Minor shapes.
If you are familiar with sweep picking, then forget everything you've learned about playing arpeggios with sweeps. This exercise has you alternate picking an arpeggio sequence, and will do wonders for your alternate picking chops.
