This lesson is similar to the scale sequence lesson in the Diatonic Scales section. These exercises show a few ways to take the familiar Pentatonic scale and add some excitement to it by using repeating patterns. All the exercises use G Minor Pentatonic, but you should apply the same patterns to other Pentatonic modes at other locations on the fretboard. Enjoy!

Can you tell I like triplets? In the Diatonic Scale Sequences and Patterns lesson, I showed you a triplet sequence, and in the Arpeggio Sequences lesson, I showed you a triplet sequence. So here we are again with yet another triplet sequence. This exercise really lets you build up some speed!

Here we see nothing more than the ordinary Pentatonic Minor scale. We are just sequencing the notes in a certain way (as triplets).

When I play this, I like to use alternate picking. But play it however you desire.
