~~~HWY everyone....I need some advice
I am just about to record a fe riffs onto my computer and I just purchased a Peavey Triple XXX tube head...for some reason I can't get the Ultra distortion to sound right. The kind of sound I have now is too dry and sounds "boring". I don't know much about amp setups therefore I ask u guys...The distortion that I'm trying to get out of this 4 tube amp is supposed to be for some Deathmetal rythm riffs and solo's a la Cannibal Corpse. So I need some heavy bottoms, crunchy sharp mids and nice highs for the squels.......in case you're wondering, YES I AM AN IDIOT WHEN IT COMES TO AMP SETUP!!!!!!
Alright, see ya... |
I'm not the most avid listener to Deatyh metal and the like - although I will have a listen sometimes - but I'd say settings near these would just about do you:
Gain: 8-ish Bass: 6/7 Mid: 2/3 Treble: 9/10
Those are just guesses. Of course, you can always turn the mids down and gain up a bit  |
