Pup chatting now boys. What you got? What do you recommend? I got a S/S/81 assembly and I would say that anyone looking for really great heavy, chunky murderous metal crunch would love the Emg 81. And anyone out there looking for a super clean super vintage telecaster sound would love the Emg S.

I use Bill Lawrence 500s in my Carvin DC127, and ToneZone/Air Norton in my Ibanez. I chose these because they are the type of pickups that provide incredible note articulation and harmonic richness. I find that my playing has taken on new life ever since I started using these - it's like they bring me closer to the music because of the nuance and expression that is achievable. I feel they help bring me one step closer to a 'pro' sound on my home recordings.

I use the stock pickups, simply because I haven't been arsed to change them Very Happy
Although I tried some Bar Knuckle "Warpigs" the other month, and they were amazing!

My 2 main guitars right now are : Kramer Stagemaster with an SD JB, and a Kramer Baretta PRO with an SD JB and SD Jazz (neck) with coil tapping. The JB is a real screamer, particularly in the Stagey for some reason. I really get a lot of tonal possibilities out the baretta with the coil tapping. A coil tapped jazz at the neck gives some sweet bluesy tones. I also have a couple of project guitars going, but haven't decided what will go in them, but it will be something by SD-they are just great pickups IMHO.
