Post subject: Chat Forum Idea - 8PM Pacific - THURSDAYS  PostPosted: Dec 07, 2004 - 06:42 PM

The chat room is an excellent way for members and non-members to start a live exchange of Advice, Ideas, Inspirations, Effects, and all sort of live feedback between guitartist. So for lack of another time I picked 8pm Pacific time this Thursday, Dec.9th to start this idea off. If a better overall time (weekend) for members in Europe or Asia then I will leave it up to Brian to moderate that. This is his baby and this website is by far the best I've encountered for the individual guitartist.
So Brian what do you think, I'll be there on Thursday but if you are still in Germany then 9am Sundays Pacific may be better for all of us.
I'm open, I would like to see the chat used in a way as a Guitar-Dreams Club meeting room.

Hi Northerer. Sounds like a great idea. I will be in Germany, but feel free to stick to that time. I won't be able to attend because of the 9 hour time difference, but hopefully others will see this message and decide to join the chat. When I get back, I will brainstorm other ideas to get the chat room going.

Also, if you want to contribute to the site in any way let me know. There is of course the member lessons, but I am open to other ideas as well.

As they say in Bavaria,

Servus,

brian

Unfortunately, I have not used the chat very often.
But I just saw this post and was going to participate in this chat session, but I then checked my 'Date and Time' thing on my taskbar, and apparently pacific time is GMT-08:00. So that would work out as 4am on Friday my time, which is too late - or early, even - for me, expecially since I have exams friday morning.

This is however a good idea, the only problem is getting timing suitable for most of the active members to participate. Maybe we'll be able to work something out...

OK that was a bit od an exercise in futility but the concept I believe is still good. Brian you will have to moderate and pick a time on the weekend where all of us can communicate. You set the time I'll be there. I'l help in any way you need. Think about a time and get abck to me you too Daz you are a part of this now too. Think of a time on sat-sun where all of us could talk>

Tahnks again guys

Well, what time would be good for you on a Saturday/Sunday? I'm 8 hours ahead of you and Brian is 9 ahead of you.
I'd say that the best times for me and Brian(provided he's not busy) would be if you came on between 10-12am pacific time(the earlier the better). It would be evening for us, but not very late.

What do you think?

Yeh, that's fine. Actually it'd be 6pm my time, and 1pm(?) Eastern time for Brian, but not that that matters.
