| can someone tell me how to mute the strings and at the same time get the pick to piont down to the body?? I´ve tried everyting but nothing feels or sounds good. |

From your description, I assume you're talking about palm muting. I don't see how you cannot get the pick to point down to the body. How exactly are you trying to palm mute?
I'm not sure if this is the completely correct way or not, but here's how I do it:
Have your picking hand in the position that you normally would, everything in the usual place.
Then move your picking hand close to the bridge and then 'lean' on the strings(those that need to be muted) with the side of your hand, but inward more, so that it's still technically your palm (I usually lean with the area of my palm that would be in line with my little finger if I held my hand out in front of my face with the palm facing me).
And then simply play, keeping a little bit of pressure on the relevant strings.

| how can you not get the pick downwards it naturally goes that way ? |
