In reading another post, I noticed someone saying it would be nice if this site let members submit their own riffs, etc. One of the biggest features of this site is that members can indeed submit their own stuff. Maybe it is my lack of web design skills, but this aspect of the site never took off. And it is sad, because the capability is far beyond other sites that let members do that. The member lessons section here is very sophisticated. Members can create an unlimited number of lessons, each with an unlimited number of exercises (i.e. a My Riffs lesson, a My Warmups lesson, etc). You can upload tab, midi, slow and fast audio clips (and I can change a single line of code to allow uploading or linking to video clips). Lessons are fully searchable, and sortable, etc. People can add comments/critiques,etc,etc. Basically, the member lessons function exactly like my own.
I truly think it is the Member Lessons section that can really take this site to the next level if there was more participation.
regards,

I have been meaning to add more of my own lessons....however with GCSE's (and the small matter that I suck at guitar) I haven't got round to this. Yet.
I think one of the problems is that your own lessons (Brian) are pretty f***ing excellent - no-one can compete with them! |
