Oh yeah! This amp is bad news
I just got this amp not too long, and I haven't been on the site, because...didn't I just say it? I GOT A NEW AMP!
It's a great amp. It has 2 channels, 3 equalization adjusters for the two different types of gain.
There's Lead and Clean. What you can do on Clean is adjust the Volume (0 - 10 ( 7 could fill a gym )) There's a switch for Modern or Vintage sound. Then there's the equalization controls for clean. Low-Mid-High.
The Lead is a bit different. It's first control is a PreGain knob (0-10 (It has been on 10 since I have owned it ) Then there is the Modern/Vintage switch, only there is a middle setting that is not printed on the amp. If you turn the PreGain up, and on this setting, it gives you a good Metal setting!
Then of course there is the Low-Mid-High equalization controls. No volume control? Nope. PostGain, baby I haven't turned it past 5, yet. (0-10) I can't handle it! It's too loud! This amp is the coolest!
Off to the right of the amp is the Reverb control (SWEET!!) and TransTube(R) and the on/off switch.
This amp is a tube amp, 150 watts and 34.1 lbs. (about 3 heavy guitars for those guys in England )
On the back is a remote switch input (for a footswitch to change from Lead to Clean). Then there are the Return and Send inputs for an effects loop through a preamp.
The last thing on the amp is an external speaker input that hooks to the amp to a PA system. ( If you do this, you turn off the 12" internal speaker)
Yeah, that's about all I got on the amp. I definetly will post some audio clips(or links to) that sample the different sounds that are acheivable with the Peavey Studio Pro 112.

No it isn't. Just solid state with tube emulating circuitry. |
