As a newbee, I suppose this is a little like asking what is the best car to drive, or what is the best movie to watch. In other words, it depends greatly on personal preference, and not so much on quality and sound, but I have to ask anyway.
What is the best acoustic guitar in the $500-$750 price range? I have been learning to play on a lower end Yamaha guitar, and feel I am playing pretty well. Now that I think my interest is going to stick, I am starting to think about a higher quality, better sounding guitar. What are your recommendations? |

I would up your range to around $1000 and try a lower end Martin or Larivee.

| Godin acoustics are very high quality and cost very little in comparison to other companies. bhuether also has a great suggestion. By simply raising your budget you will recieve a much better instrument. |
