Sounds to me like it starts with B Minor and ends with E Dorian. What do others think?

Hi jaredx6x,
I'd like to offer the hopefully humble opinion that it really doesn't matter what mode this is. Most important, is "does it sound OK when you play it with the band?". Beyond that, it's really impossible to tell what "mode" it is, out of context. What is possible to tell from reading your TAB is that it is all part of an E Major scale, and that all the notes in it belong to the key of E Major. If you were playing the whole solo against an A Major chord, then we might be able to say for sure that this is Lydian Mode. But really, it doesn't matter! It's more important that it's an E Major Scale. Lots of guitar players waste a whole lot of time and energy trying to understand what are called "modes" nowadays. It's tough to tell them that the ones with the fancy greek names are all just the major scale starting on different notes, and the fact that it's a major scale is really much more important in the long run than which note of the scale is the starting point. There are a lot more interesting scales and modes out there that unfortunately don't have greek names -
