Recording and everything that goes along with it can be quite a daunting subject. I made my first recording around 2000. So I am not exactly an expert. But after lots of research and trial and effort, I think I manage to get fairly good results for a simple home setup. And so the point here is that instead of having others seek out the answers that some of us have found by experience, let's share what we know. And I don't want to hear people using the cliche "Use your ears". Some people just don't have audiophile ears. Some people just want to get decent results, and there are certain technical guidelines that one can follow to get decent results. For example, simply knowing that 250-300Hz is where the mud is, can be invaluable information when it comes to mixing. There are tons of other rules of thumb out there. Post them here!

So let's use this forum to help hobby guitarists sound like studio guitarists! I know I could use the help!

later,

Brian
