Music at Your Fingertips

In the previous section, we went over Rhapsody's organization of musical genres. Now let's go ahead and start finding some music!

This example has us finding today's popular alternative metal. No matter what sort of music you are looking for, you can follow the same basic steps.

1. From the Rhapsody Home Page, selelct "Rock/Pop" under the Browse Genres area. Notice how the Rhapsody screen changes. It now shows you track listings for the Rock/Pop category. Additionally it shows you popular Rock/Pop artists and albums.
2. Now select "Metal" from the Browse Subgenres area.
3. Finally, select "Alt Metal" under the Browse Subgenres area.

After selecting "Alt Metal", you now have a variety of options to choose from to start exploring all the Alt Metal music that Rhapsody has to offer:

Sampler - listen to randomly selected tracks from a variety of Alt Metal artists.
Top Artists - select today's top Alt Metal artists and listen to their albums, both past and present.
New Releases - see the latest Alt Metal albums to hit the streets.
Top Albums - select today's top rated Alt Metal albums.

With Rhapsody's logical and easy to follow layout, you can quickly find the music you enjoy. And it certainly beats spending hours driving back and forth from the local music store in order to find 1 or 2 CDs worth bringing up to the checkout counter!
